Why GondwanaTalks is different. Many science news outlet publish what editors think people will click on, therefore you'll see many 'hot' and 'urgent' titles, and one-sided summaries of recent research. I prefer to pick topics that are relevant and timeless, and that offer a deeper perspective for a curious audience. And while the climate crisis can't be ignored, it is my goal to highlight the beautiful and amazing facets of nature and life. "What we love, we will protect", Cousteau also said. I want to keep producing articles as I notice the people who read it are really happy. Anonymous readers have sent me messages like: "please don't stop". When you donate, you help an independent platform staying afloat.
Why donate?
Keeping GondwanaTalks afloat requires an immense effort. All articles are meticulously written, researched, edited and translated into 3 or 4 languages to make them available to more readers.
GondwanaTalks requires a tremendous amount of time, energy, devotion and research (and yes, sometimes pain and frustration too). Like most blogs that don't sell stuff and are written by a person that chooses passion over business, it is far from being lucrative. Please consider doing a one-time or recurrent donation if my posts are somehow valuable to you or help seeing your daily life into the greater scheme of the natural world. The idea is to make you aware and joyful about the incredible Pale Blue Dot we all live on. Your engagement, donation and appreciation make all the difference.
Thank you.
